The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an educational board under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India that offers students the opportunity of availing qualifying courses without attending a full time classroom program.

The board carries a record of the marks attained in previous attempts and displays the score which is better of the two in the final marksheet and pass certificate generated.
