NIOS Admission 2023: Know About Hall Ticket, Registration, Exam Date

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is a government recognized educational board that facilitates aspiring students to sit for the 10th and 12th standard board examinations in the country. Every year, thousands of students appear for the NIOS board examinations and pass with flying colors, moving ahead to pursue opportunities to build a positive future.

The board holds examinations for the 10th and 12th standard classes two times in a year. Students can register on the NIOS website, pay the examination fee and select the slot of their choice.

NIOS Admission 2023 Registration

The registration process for the session 2023-24 has begun, for the examination to be held in October 2023. The NIOS admission for 2023-24 last date for 10th and 12th standard is 31 January 2023, without any late fine. However, in case you have missed out on the registration process by this deadline, you can still continue with registering with the payment of a late fee. The details of the fee, as applicable for your category and requirement can be viewed on the NIOS website. For 10th and 12th board examinations, the NIOS admission for 2023-24 last date is marked at 15 March 2023, along with a late fine.

Note:  Late fee for the NIOS admissions 2022-23 varies as per the date of extension.

For delay in NIOS online admission up to 15 February 2023, the late fee is INR 200. For registrations between 16 and 18 February 2023, the late fee is INR 400. For NIOS online admission between 1 and 15 March 2023, the late fee is INR 700.

It is important to keep in mind that students fulfilling certain criteria as mandated by the NIOS board can only register and appear for the board examinations.

Important Points to Remember

• The minimum age for NIOS online admission for 10th standard is 14 years and for 12th standard is 15 years on July 31.
• For students registering for standard 12th NIOS board examination, it is mandatory to submit details of passing for standard 10th board examinations from any recognized educational board.
• All documents of previous educational qualifications, age and reservation details are to be kept ready before registering for NIOS online admissions 2023-24.
• In addition to regular board examinations, NIOS also offers students a chance to improve their scores from previous attempts through the NIOS on-demand examinations, which are held every month except April, May, October and November. Students can appear for all subjects or only a select few, based on the allowance by the board.
• Registrations for NIOS board examinations for 2023-24 can be done by visiting the official website of the board www.nios.ac.in. Students can follow the specific directions as mentioned in the website to continue with the admission process and receive their registration details.

Once the registration process is complete, aspirants must put in all their effort into preparing for the board examinations.
